In the beautiful game called futbol, the biggest clubs are always looking for the next big talents. These clubs look to either develop their rising stars or find one that can mature into an influential player. Although most young talent starts off in smaller clubs, some face a harder task of developing with a bigger club. This has proven to be detrimental to some players’ ability to perform and grow, though a handful of players seem to shine through these obstacles. These players who do gain lots of traction are often referred to as “Rising Stars”.
Gavi and Pedri
When discussing one of these two youngsters, it’s almost impossible to go on without mentioning the other. They are a dynamic duo in the midfield and are crucial to Barcelona’s success. These two Spanish midfielders are two of the best young talents we’ve seen out of Barcelona in a while. Gavi, just 18 years old, won the Golden Boy Award, an award given to the best young player of the year. He has already proved to be a successful player so early in his career. Pedri, 20 years old, who has also won a Golden Boy, has established himself in Barcelona as a crucial player. These two players are the next generation for Barcelona.
At Borussia Dortmund, a pro soccer team in the Bundesliga, have generated amazing talents. The latest being Haaland, a World Class player who left for Manchester City. Although Dortmund lost this amazing player, they have an amazing roster of young players including, Gio Reyna, Karim Adeyemi, and Jude Bellingham. Reyna is an American born soccer player who plays for the US National Team. Jude had early spells playing in England before he made the move to Dortmund while continuing on the England National Team. Last, but not least, is Adeyemi who was born in Germany. His recent success came in the first leg vs Chelsea when he scored the game winner. The second leg was held on March 7. It will be a real treat to watch these youngsters play against one another in a future tournament and even the World Cup someday.
