The Louie Bing Meet is the first big track meet of the year. This meet is held to see where you stand in the state and will let you know what you need to do to perform better. Some of our top performers were British Wilkerson in the men’s 400m dash recording a time of 47.42 which gave him a USA #1 and placing #1 overall in the meet. Kahneil Budham ran a personal best of 14.79 coming in 5th place and placing in the top 25 in the US. In the men’s field, Jason Olivera Jr. dominated the field with a mark of 4.73m and got first place to help his team get 10 points. Ashlyn Hubbard and Jelan Cottrell placed 2nd and 3rd overall in pole vault with a mark of 2.90m and a personal best for the both of them. Morgan Crockett recorded a personal best of 12.33 in the 100m dash placing 7th overall.On the relay side Cha’iel Johnson, Morgan Crokett, Kelyse Jackson and Shanel Morgan took the win with a time of 3:46.99,along with a 4×200 relay win. Men’s 4×100 relay placed 3rd overall which consisted of Ryan Mack, Jordan Lyle, Tavius Horne and Earl Kulp with a time of 42:34. Both the girls finished 3rd overall. The girls scored a total 81 points and the boys 61 as they look to improve in the coming weeks.
