With the amount of clubs at STA, it’s easy to find something you enjoy while connecting with friends who share similar interests. The Ping Pong Club is a prime example. Moderated by Mr. Salazar, they meet bi-weekly on Fridays and hold tournaments to determine who’s the best at Ping Pong. These meets are a really good way to pass the time if you’re being picked up late from school.
“I joined the club because I needed an after-school activity to keep me busy after a long day and for when my mom picks me up late. I saw a bunch of students crowding up in the hallway and wanted to check it out. When I got closer, I saw they were playing Ping Pong! Ever since then, I’ve kept going back. I’m a very competitive person so I love the fast paced gameplay. You get to meet a lot of people and will never get bored of facing the same opponent. It’s a great way to make new friends!” said Kenneth Jones, a sophomore at STA.
If you enjoy Ping Pong, join STA’s Ping Pong Club in Mr. Salazar’s room 302! Club membership is $10, which gives you access to club benefits as an official member.
