The eight-year old St. Thomas Aquinas (STA) tradition, Senior Movie Night, made its return on Thursday, April 7. This fun event was held from 6:00 to 8:30 PM. Aside from being an enjoyable evening, Senior Movie Night also served as a way to raise funds for Prom decor. The five-dollar admission included one drink, one candy, and one slice of pizza per person. Additional food and drinks were available for the very reasonable price of one dollar per item. Students were responsible for bringing their own seating, such as lawn chairs, bean bags and blankets.
The seniors were polled to decide which movie that they would watch. She’s the Man emerged as the winner, and Ferris Bueller’s Day Off came in at a close second. The seniors had a great time. Student Madison Weiss said, “As seniors, I strongly believe it is important for us to cherish our last memories together! Going to Senior Movie Night was a great experience for me and all my friends.”
Ms. Jennifer French, coordinator of this event, couldn’t be happier with the way that the evening turned out. She said, “Anytime we can get the senior class together to do a group activity, it is a fun time! We all really enjoyed the movie, ate lots of pizza, and overall spent a nice evening together in the STA gym! I truly enjoy this annual event.” Senior Movie Night was a success and continues to be a memorable event for graduating Raiders.
