If you live in South Florida, you have likely visited the beach. If you are wondering what the difference is from beach to beach, there are many things you should know. Hollywood Beach is a popular beach with a 2.5-mile long boardwalk and great water quality. This beach has very little tide change and a 1-3 foot long surf according to Surf Guru. Hollywood Beach also features the Hollywood Beach Theater. This area features a children’s water playground, public art displays, and many more attractions.
Fort Lauderdale Beach, like most beaches in South Florida, is a 23-mile long beach that has an amazing grade of water quality according to TripAdvisor. The beach is known to be kept in outstanding condition because they host beach cleanups every so often to keep the beach spotless of plastic and other waste. This popular beach once featured the nickname of “The Venice of America”, according to OceanWide. This beach also offers a wide range of restaurants, varying from different cultures of food to suit whatever you may be craving. Ft. Lauderdale Beach offers many relaxing opportunities, whether it be laying in the sand, fishing in the open ocean, or dining at the many featured restaurants.
Surf Guru conveyed once again that Pompano Beach is known for having pristine water grade and has the climate of a tropical rainforest. This beach is only 8 miles from Ft. Lauderdale and is home to over 100,000 people since 2020. For those looking to go boating or fish, Pompano Beach offers a wide range of slipways and even a 1,000-foot long fishing pier. Many fish have been caught off this pier and you can aim to catch a wide range of species including snapper, snook, mackerel, cobia, and wahoo. Included with a bait shop, this is the best beach to go fishing on in Broward.
