There are several new video games coming out in December for Playstation, Xbox, Switch, PC and other platforms. These releases span several game genres, offering players a wide variety to choose from which to choose. The first game is Marvel’s Midnight Suns, released December 2nd. This tactical strategy game, developed by Firaxis Games, is available in all platforms; new and old generation. Players take on the role of a hunter who will encounter some well known Marvel characters such as Captain America, Iron Man, Spider Man, Wolverine and Blade, whom they must lead as a team to take down the Mother of Demons before she summons her master Chlton. Each character has unique abilities, revealed in the form of cards. Players can use their cards to attack or defend, as well as other actions, depending on character. Most characters have appeared in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, the superheroes included. The standard edition will be priced at $59.99.
The next game is Callisto Protocol, a new survival horror game featuring two famous actors. Lead character, Jacob Lee, is voiced by actor Josh Duhamel who is well known for his role in the Transformers film franchise. The other main character is Dani Nakamura who is voiced by Karen Fukuhara, the main star in Amazon Prime Video Series The Boys. The year is 2030 on Jupiter. There is an infamous jail named Black Iron Prison. Jacob Lee is arrested and has to escape with the help of a fellow inmate as a strange disease turns others into zombie-like monsters. The game, known for its blood and gore, is in third-person. It can be found on all platforms except the Nintendo Switch and is priced at $59.99 for the standard edition.
The third game on this list is Need for Speed Unbound, released on December 2nd. One of the longest running game franchises ever, it is developed by Criterion Games and published by EA. This game involves racing against competitors and winning challenges in the fictional Lakeshore City. Players can customize the cars to their choosing. The choices include 143 cars from almost every major automobile manufacturer in the world, including BMW, Ferrari, Ford, Honda, Lamborghini, and many more! The soundtrack has over 70 hip-hop tracks by well known artists, the main track is by A$AP Rocky and AWGE. Need For Speed Unbound is on next gen only and PC, priced at $69.99 for the standard edition.
One of the most anticipated games of 2022, Hello Neighbor, 2 is next on the list. Quentin, a journalist investigator whom players inhabit, has to stealthily enter the homes of his neighbors in the town of Raven Brooks and find out what they are up to after all the children go missing in the neighborhood. In this game the AI adapts to gameplay, which makes the game always different. Players can’t do the same over and over and the AI will learn moves and work to stay. Game came out December 6th and priced at $39.99
The last game on our list is High on Life. The game’s story revolves around a bounty hunter, who is the player on a galactic mission to save earth from an alien invasion. This game is a first-person shooter with vibrant colors, cartoonish graphics, slapstick humor and so much more! The gameplay appears to be highly engaging with mild violence. Game publisher-developer Squanch Games, Inc., founded by animated series Rick and Morty co- creator Justin Roiland, created the Alien-like world in the game that has every weird alien related thing imaginable.Scheduled for release on December 13th, it is priced at $59.99 for the standard edition.
