Tumbler popularity has been on the rise in recent months. From on campus, to at work, to at home, tumblers are everywhere. If you’ve been active on social media, you’re sure to have seen some sort of post about them. A tumbler is an insulated mug or cup that you can easily take on the go. Tumblers are obviously convenient and trendy, but what makes them so popular?
One of the most popular brands is the Stanley Cup. The Stanley Cup is in extremely high-demand due to its high quality insulated body, removable straw lid, and variety of trendy colors. Additionally, the Stanley is arguably one of the most commonly seen tumblers on campus at STA. When asked about tumblers, freshman Lilly Aronovitz, said, “TikTok definitely encouraged me to buy one. I would recommend a tumbler to my family and friends as it keeps my water and ice cold every day. If you are thinking about getting one, Stanley and Yeti are the best brands by far.” Lilly is one of many students at STA who bought a tumbler due to the popularity and ended up loving it. Tumblers are as phenomenal as they are convenient since they keep your water cold and encourage you to drink more water.
If the popularity of the cups aren’t enough to convince you to make a purchase, here are some additional reasons for buying one:
- Saves money long-term- buying a tumbler is a one time purchase as opposed to buying single-use plastic bottles over and over again. On average, tumblers cost around $30 while plastic bottles are about $1.50. Buying one tumbler is equivalent to buying 33 waters which is typically used in less than a month.
- Helps the Environment- pollution is one of the leading causes of climate change. Switching to a reusable tumbler keeps trash out of landfills to help fight the climate crisis.
- Easily portable- most tumblers come with handles and are lightweight with sealed lids for easy transportation.
- Insulation- most tumblers are insulated providing hours and hours of temperature regulation for both cold and hot liquids keeping your drink nice and fresh.
- Style factor- tumblers come in a variety of different colors, styles, and sizes.You can easily choose one that matches your style for a variety of uses.
